George and Gladys Dunlap Cooperative Leadership Award Program
The Nationwide Foundation’s George and Gladys Dunlap Cooperative Leadership Award Program began in 1994 with a $1.2 million bequest from the Dunlap family. The late Mr. Dunlap, former General Chairman and Chief Executive of Nationwide Insurance, was a strong proponent of the cooperative movement.
Initially developed to recognize outstanding projects that promote cooperatives as a way of doing business, the program has awarded more than $800,000 in grants.
The Nationwide Foundation continues to administer the program in honor of George and Gladys Dunlap.
